The man who robbed a cab driver in the capital city could spend the rest of his life in prison.
A Cole County jury found 35-year-old Terrill Reynolds of Jefferson City guilty Tuesday of first-degree robbery, armed criminal action, and other charges. Prosecutors say Reynolds called a taxi for a ride at the McDonald’s on Missouri Boulevard in November 2011. When the ride arrived, Reynolds pulled out a handgun and demanded the cab driver’s money. Officers found him and the gun a few hours later at an apartment on Elm Street.
Prosecutors say due to previous felony convictions, Reynolds faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
