Change A Clock, Change A Battery

You’ve probably heard it before… change the batteries in your smoke detectors when you change your clocks.

But Gail Blomenkamp with Boone County Fire says these days, there’s another thing you should remember to do. He says it’s also the right time to change the battery in your carbon monoxide detector.

Blomenkamp says national statistics have shown for years that fewer people get hurt in fires when they have working smoke detectors in their home.
