Local Theater Damaged From Snow

Posted by Warren Krech on March 1, 2013

The start of the eighth season at Hazel Kinder’s Lighthouse Theater will be delayed at least a couple months. The owner learned Wednesday morning the roof over the auditorium collapsed because of heavy snow. Kinder says an engineering firm is heading out to the site off I-70 east of Columbia to assess the damage.

The new season at the lighthouse theater was supposed to begin with a benefit concert for the food bank on April 6th. Kinder says that concert will still go on, but it will be at the Missouri Theatre in Columbia.
