Prison Chief Murder Twist

The search for answers following the murder of a former Columbia resident and state worker has a new twist.

The AP reports authorities investigating the death of Colorado prison chief Tom Clements are looking for two men associated with a white supremacist prison gang. Deputies near Colorado Springs want to find 47-year-old James Lohr and 31-year-old Thomas Guolee, though they aren’t considered suspects in the murder. They say the pair could be headed to Nevada or Texas, but might not be together.

They are connected with the “211 Crew,” a prison gang whose members included Evan Ebel. He is suspected of fatally shooting Clements at his home on March 19th, and a pizza delivery driver two days later. Ebel was killed in a shootout with Texas authorities after those deaths.

Tom Clements spent 30 years working at the Missouri Department of Corrections before moving to Colorado in 2011.
