A Jefferson City man is in custody after running his car into the Red Cross office building in the capitol city early Monday morning.
A passenger in the car walked to Jefferson City police headquarters to report the incident. She said she was assaulted by the driver, 25-year-old Patrick Love, and when she tried to escape the vehicle the car struck another parked car, and then the building.
Officers say says when they went back to the scene, Love had fled. They were able to track him down after a search.
Patrick Love faces several charges, including two counts of child endangerment, because of infants that were in the car at the time.
