The local sheriff says foul play is behind two dead bodies found in the remains of a house fire.
Investigators identified the pair Tuesday as a mother and son from the small Pettis County town of Green Ridge, 56-year-old Barbara Hudson, and 26-year-old Jeremiah Hudson.
Sheriff Kevin Bond says firefighters went to the blaze west of Sedalia Monday morning. The bodies were discovered during follow-up searches of the Hudsons’ house.
Authorities have not said how the victims died. The investigation continues.
