A name is now tied to a body found in the Missouri River.
The body of Christopher Durbin, a 38-year-old Russelville resident, was found floating in the river Saturday morning near the north end of Chestnut Street by the old Missouri State Penitentiary.
Jefferson City police and fire departments were joined by Cole County deputies in retrieving the body from the river.
No information has been released yet on the state of the body at the time it was found. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday to try and determine a cause of death.
