Three Arrests in Columbia Teen’s Murder

We now know the name of three people arrested in conjunction with the July 14th shooting death of 17-year-old Tre’veon Marshall.

Joshua Murray (pictured), 18, was arrested for 1st degree murder in the shooting, and 17-year-old Kimberly Huet-Linzie is charged with hindering prosecution.

Nicholas Thomas was also arrested for first-degree murder in the case, though it took several hours for police to confirm his arrest.

Marshall’s ┬ámurder was the second shooting death in less than a month following the murder of Anthony Unger in late June.

Prosecutors say Thomas and Murray were walking in Columbia’s McKee Park when they saw Marshall and a friend walking. They walked past them, and Thomas allegedly shot Marshall in the back. Court documents indicate the pair felt they had a score to settle, claiming Marshall associated with Lamarr Mayfield… the Columbia teen who shot and killed Bryan Rankin in 2012.
