The Jefferson City man accused of gunning down his girlfriend and her estranged husband is found guilty of half of a double murder.
The jury deliberated for less than two hours Wednesday to return the verdict against 58-year-old David Hosier. He’s implicated in the killings of Angela and Rodney Gilpin at a Jefferson City apartment in 2009, but Wednesday, the judge stressed the current trial only applies to Angela’s death. Prosecutors say law enforcement officers found Hosier in Oklahoma hours after the killings with over a dozen loaded guns in his car.
A jury will decide if Hosier will get the death penalty in the case. That phase could begin as soon as Thursday.
