Chick-fil-A Opens in Jefferson City
What would you do for a chicken sandwich? Dozens of people chose to camp out overnight at the new Chick-fil-A location in Jefferson City. The first 100 people through the doors during the grand opening Thursday morning got free meal deals each week for a year, a value of more than $300.
“I’ve been waiting for Chick-fil-A for twelve years now…very exciting,” says Travis, who was one of the people in line on Wednesday.
“I’ve been to a few openings before, so I always look at the website to make sure that there’s not one around me that I’m missing,” says Mindy, another person who was in line. She says she came from Kansas City, Kan. to get her coupons.
Chick-fil-A did let the campers spend the night inside the restaurant, because of the freezing temperatures. All the free meal coupons were gone before 7:00 a.m. Thursday. Chick-fil-A does a similar giveaway at each of its grand openings. People camped out starting early Wednesday morning.
