Brush fire burns building – sends smoke for miles

Smoke reached as far as Missouri Blvd in Jefferson City after a smoky brush fire fueled by high winds burned along Route ‘C’. Four fire departments including Jefferson City firefighters battled the fire on Valley Hi Road around 4 yesterday afternoon. The fire started near a landscaping business and burned a shed and a trailer full of hay along with other property. No one was hurt but smoke covered the area for miles around.
