Lots of new COVID cases in parts of Missouri

Missouri is now leading the nation with the highest rate of new COVID-19 infections. Health officials say the two areas driving the surge are the north-central and southwest portions of the state. Mid-Missouri’s new case increases have stayed fairly low. Boone County had 29 new positives over the last three days. Active cases went up. Hospitalizations also rose a lot, and are putting a strain on resources. Cole County had just three new cases.
