Arrests Connected to Columbia Homicide
A man is in jail on a $2 million bond, accused of murder in the death of Columbia native Brian Daniels.
23-year-old James Thompson was arrested after a traffic stop on the south side of town Saturday evening. A second man was also arrested as part of the case, but he’s not accused of murder. 24-year-old Christopher Hurt faces felony charges for hindering prosecution, and cocaine possession. He was busted at an apartment on Apple Tree Court about ten minutes after Thompson was arrested.
Brian Daniels was found dead at his home on Cimarron Drive Wednesday night. A Columbia Police spokesman says to expect more details on the homicide investigation late Monday.
