Columbia Police get some help from friends up north to make a big arrest.

Authorities believe 30-year-old Walter Ricketts is behind some gun shots in Columbia’s Douglass Park last week.

Moberly Police Chief Russell Tarr says he got the heads up Ricketts was in his area Thursday afternoon.

“Our tactical team was contacted and called out,” Tarr says. “We were able to locate the individual in an apartment on the 400 block of W. Reed. We was taken into custody without incident.”

Ricketts is in jail on a $200,000 bond. No one was hurt because of the shots fired in Douglass Park last Wednesday.
