Crash Puts Jefferson City Man in Hospital

A Jefferson City man is in critical condition, following an accident early Wednesday morning. 32-year-old Jason Simonds crashed his car into a fire hydrant and then a tree on Miller Street at about 4:30 a.m. He was taken to a Columbia hospital. Jefferson City Police say Simonds was not wearing a seatbelt.
