Embarq Steps Up

Here’s a story that might have fallen thru the cracks. The only computer available to folks staying at the Jefferson City Salvation Army’s ‘Center of Hope’ emergency lodge gave up the ghost recently. But here comes Embarq to the rescue. Embarq’s Greg Gaffke manage to wrangle up 15 – rebuilt computers and donate them to the center.

The Salvation Army will be able to use them to allow clients to job hunt
on the internet and to also have the computers available online studies.

This comes as Embarq staffers are wrapped up in their own uncertainty
about the future because of the CenturyTel merger.

Good job, Greg .. as always.
