A Jefferson City woman faces charges of filing a false police report. Charlotte Morehouse is accused of calling police Sunday and telling them a man was burglarizing her Liverpool Street home. Police confronted a man at the front door, but he turned out to be Morehouse’s husband, who was leaving for work.

Police say the two had argued, but the husband said no one was robbing the home. Police had to shoot and kill the man’s pit bull when it lunged at an officer.

Charlotte Morehouse admitted to making the false report and was arrested.
