Flying Into History

Jefferson City resident E. John Knapp was a B17 navigator on 35 missions over Europe in World War II.  One of those missions was over Normandy on D-Day, June 6th, 1944.  Here is his story, as told to his Son In Laws Warren Krech and Bill Arvold, and his Daughter Laura Arvold on the 65th Anniversary of D-Day, June 6th, 2009:
