Governor Announces Taiwan Trade Deal
Governor Jay Nixon says Missouri has signed off on deals worth $700 million to sell products to Taiwanese consumers over the next four years.
Nixon made the announcement Tuesday while on a trade trip that also includes a visit to South Korea. The governor says the deals are with an external trade council and a feed industry association in Taiwan. About $200 million of the trade deal is based in Missouri agricultural exports.
Nixon also met with government officials and Taiwanese importers of Missouri products.
