High-Speed Chase Leads to Arrest

A Jefferson City man is in the Cole County jail after a domestic assault and a car chase with police. Police were called to the scene late Tuesday night in the 1100 block of Madison Street.

37-year-old David Rodebaugh had already left the area. Officers spotted him on Highway 54 and chased Rodebaugh at speeds over 100 miles an hour. He crashed his car at the Heritage Highway intersection south of the city. A police dog tracked him down in the woods nearby. Rodebaugh faces charges including domestic assault and resisting arrest.
