JC Airport Traffic Beats Columbia

There may be one upside to all of Governor Nixon’s flights on state aircraft. The Jefferson City Memorial airport saw a nearly 17% jump in flights last year. The airport had more than 30,000 takeoffs and landings. There is no scheduled commercial air service at the airport, but most of the traffic includes private and corporate aircraft, along with state government flights that are based at the airport.

Jefferson City Memorial even topped Columbia Regional, which saw about 25,000 flights in 2012.
