You’ll be able to check out Jefferson City’s 2014 budget plans online for the first time ever.

Mayor Eric Struemph will get the city administrator’s recommendations by mid-May. He says it’s all about transparency, especially with tough decisions ahead.

The city is coming off a year of having to cope with a $1.6 million budget shortfall. Jefferson City’s Council will begin work on next year’s budget this summer.
