A Jefferson City man is injured after crashing his motorcycle Tuesday morning.

Police in the capital city say Matthew Loehr, 28, was exiting northbound Highway 54 on the Route 94 ramp at about 8:45. Investigators say a car in front of Loehr on the ramp slowed down to yield to traffic, and he couldn’t stop his bike in time. They say Loehr was thrown into the back of the car, breaking its rear window before falling to the road.

Jefferson City police say a Cole County ambulance rushed Loehr to University Hospital. He would be discharged from the ER.
