JCTV Survives Budget Despite Funding Hit
Jefferson City’s public access TV channel may live on. The council’s budget committee votes to leave $55,000 in the 2014 budget to partially fund JCTV.
Mayor Eric Struemph had recommended eliminating all of the channel’s $110,000 budget, calling JCTV non–essential.
Councilmen also advanced a plan to allow city staff two floating holidays next year. This is the first year in some time that no pay raise is included for city government employees. The full Jefferson City council could approve the budget at a Tuesday night meeting.
