Jefferson City Daycare Allowed to Reopen

Posted by Warren Krech on July 11, 2013

A Jefferson City day care will be allowed to re-open after problems with a child who was allowed to wander off. Kids Unlimited on Fairgrounds Road was ordered closed after a 2-year-old managed to walk away from the center twice last month. One time the child was found in the street by a neighbor.

While the Department of Health and Senior Services will allow the day care to re-open, two staffers who were on duty when the child got away won’t be re-hired.

The state agency also spelled out several other rules for Kid Unlimited to restore its license.
