The Jefferson City budget is broken… but it can be fixed. Mayor Eric Struemph has helped draft a budget designed to deal with a $1.7 million shortfall, without layoffs or cuts to city staff.
The new city budget would not fill some open positions. The council will vote on the proposal at Monday’s meeting.
