It appears utility crews have finally gotten ahead of the winter weather. Boone Electric Cooperative reported at about midnight Friday, power was back for all its customers. That’s down from a peak of about 13,000 that were in the dark for a while, some since Tuesday. Ameren Missouri and Columbia Water & Light already caught up earlier in the week.
However, west of Cole County, Co-Mo Electric Cooperative still has some work to do. More than 3,000 customers didn’t have power as of 4:30 Friday morning. Crews from 20 electrical co-ops are on the scene trying to get the lights back on.
