Major Wreck on I-70 in Callaway County

The Highway Patrol responds to a major accident on I-70 near the Kingdom City exit. An SUV was driving the wrong direction on the interstate, and crashed into a tractor-trailer a little after 3:00 a.m. Friday. The tractor-trailer caught fire. The SUV driver, who hasn’t been identified yet, died at the scene. There’s no word yet on the status of the truck driver. Eastbound I-70 was closed for about three hours early Friday morning because of the accident.
