Authorities have arrested a member of a white supremacist gang linked to the killing Colorado’s prisons chief, a former Columbia native.
James Lohr was taken into custody early Friday morning. Lohr was wanted for questioning in the murder of Colorado Corrections Director, and former Missouri prisons official, Tom Clements. Clements was shot answering the door of his home last month.
Authorities believe Lohr was in contact with gang associate Evan Ebel days before the murders of Clements and a pizza delivery man. Police say they believe Ebel killed them both, before he was killed in a shootout in Texas. His motive in the killings isn’t clear.
The local funeral service for Clements is Friday at 4:00, at Columbia’s Woodcrest Chapel.
