Mid-MO Man Sentenced For Elder Robberies

A man convicted of violent crimes against elderly victims will spend two lifetimes in prison.

James Woods of Laddonia was sentenced Monday afternoon to 165 years behind bars. A jury found him guilty earlier this year of robbing and beating elderly victims in their homes in 2010 and 2011.

He previously served 20 years for the rape of an elderly woman, burglary and stealing in Jackson County.
