A Miller County man admits in federal court to robbing an Iberia bank, and nearly robbing another in Tuscumbia.

49-year-old David Brian Krzysik of Tuscumbia made his guilty pleas Wednesday. He admits to robbing Iberia’s First State Bank on March 15th by placing a revolver on the counter and demanding money from a teller. Just a half-hour later, Krzysik says he tried to knock off the Central Trust Bank in Tuscumbia… but employees noticed him and locked the door before he could get in. He led police on a small chase after that.

Krzysik faces a minimum of seven years in prison on the robbery counts, and up to a life sentence.
