Miller Co. Woman Sentenced for Toddler Death

A 23-year-old Miller County woman is sentenced to 40 years in prison for the death of her boyfriend’s 2-year-old daughter. Cheryl Patrick was found guilty in September, and learned her fate in a Laclede County courtroom late last week. Patrick was arrested in May of 2008, almost five months after the death of Alexis Ward from severe brain trauma.
