Some good, some bad. That’s how many of Missouri’s large employers view the job Governor Nixon did this year.
Ray McCarty from Associated Industries of Missouri explains what the group liked and didn’t like.
“The Governor did sign several bills that will help Missouri employers. Including a fix of the so-called ‘second injury fund.’ But he missed an opportunity to spur the Missouri economy by vetoing, and then campaigning aggressively against our broad-based tax cut proposal,” says McCarty.
McCarty tells us that A-I-M is working with lawmakers on another tax cut plan that will be proposed in the next legislative session. That starts in January.
