Officials at Columbia Regional Airport will show a lot of love to American Airlines on Valentine’s Day. The new carrier started service from Mid-Missouri to Dallas and Chicago with a scheduled flight to Texas at 6:45 Thursday morning.
In the overnight hours, crews had to switch Delta’s old check-in desk at the airport to support all-new signage and a different reservations system. Local leaders have scheduled a welcoming ceremony for American this afternoon.
