New JCHS Must Have Public Support

Can Jefferson City build a new high school without a major increase in the property tax levy? In a word, “no.”

Jefferson City school board president Joy Sweeney admits a new high school complex complete with individual “learning academies” won’t happen unless voters back the funding plan. A 55–cent bond and levy increase should be on the Jefferson City ballot next spring.
