Holts Summit police say as many as 40 cats may have been living inside a home on Nieman Road.
Officers and animal rescue volunteers removed the pets yesterday morning. Police say neighbors started to complain about the feline frenzy last year. A local shelter promises to put the cats up for adoption once they are cleared by a vet. The homeowners responsible face municipal charges.
