It looks like Cole County got the worst of Tuesday afternoon’s storms. Over 1,000 Ameren customers were without power after high winds knocked down poles along Business 50 at Apache Flats, near Jefferson City. The storms also blew down some large trees that blocked roads. Winds also damaged some farm buildings.
Neighborhoods around Binder Lake and St. Martins saw much of the damage. Crews worked until late Tuesday night restoring power.
