A 32-year-old Stover man is charged with child abuse. Stover Police Chief Trampus Jackson says the two-month-old was treated for a head injury consistent with being physically abused last week at a Jefferson City emergency room.
Joshua Michael Gerlach is now being held in the Morgan County Jail on a $100,000 bond. Jackson says the suspect is the boyfriend of the infant’s mother. She was the one who took the child to the hospital.
