Stover Murder Suspect Gets New Judge

Posted by Warren Krech on February 15, 2013

The Stover man accused of murdering a Morgan County couple will have a new judge for his trial.

Judge Kenneth Hayden will now preside over the case, after 25-year-old Ronald Blowers was granted a change of judge Thursday. His request to move the trial’s venue is still being considered.

Blowers allegedly killed Wayne and Mae Wells in their Ivy Bend home in December. The couple was beaten, stabbed, and shot to death. Blowers faces two counts of second-degree murder, along with armed criminal action and burglary charges.
