Jefferson City Police say they’ve arrested a St. Louis man behind two recent crimes.

Officers tracked down 26-year-old Joseph Cotton on Monday, and took him to the Cole County Jail. Investigators say he had a hand in the armed robbery at the Jefferson Street McDonald’s on November 9th, and also a shooting on Madison Street late Saturday night. Four people were hurt in that incident.

Police say they realized Cotton was connected to both crimes during their investigations. He was already wanted on a probation violation for burglary.

Police say they are still investigating the McDonald’s robbery, and searching for more suspects in the case.
