Committee Investigating Info-Sharing Meets Today

It’s the first step, for the Missouri House committee investigating the information sharing controversy at the state department of revenue. Members will start looking Tuesday morning at documents surrounding the state sharing concealed-carry data with the federal Social Security Administration, which may be against Missouri law.

Randolph County Prosecutor Mike Fusselman is a member of that committee.

“I think that it’s going to be a very interesting meeting, but obviously it is a starting point. I’m looking at establishing a timeline, and just kind of plotting in all the activities that occur… I think that will give us a very clear picture,” says Fusselman.

Fusselman, Audrain County Sheriff Stuart Miller, and Cole County Sheriff Greg White, are among the members of the House committee put together by Speaker Tim Jones. The first full meeting of the committee is Wednesday, June 26.
