jcmo cops – two busts


Jefferson City police arrest a man after an overnight shooting and chase. Officers learned about a gun shot near Elizabeth and Buena Vista Streets at about 1:30 this (wed) morning. When they tried to do a traffic stop close by, the driver, DeAngelo Frazier, jumped out of the car and ran. He was tracked down in a nearby creek, allegedly with the stolen gun used In the shooting.

The 25-year-old Frazier is now in jail on felony charges.


A burglary report leads to two arrests in Jefferson City. Early this (wed)

morning officers were headed to a home on Boonville Road for a burglary alarm when they stopped a truck leaving the area. Items taken from the home were obviously visible in the back. 37-year-old Jonathan Williamson of Jefferson City was arrested, but another man was seen running from the area.

A K-9 search didn’t find the second man, but a little while later an officer spotted the suspect on Commerce Drive. He tried to run again but a K-9 unit was able to tackle 38-year-old Eric Arnold of Jefferson City. Arnold injured the police dog in a scuffle, but was taken into custody.

Both men face burglary and stealing charges. Arnold is also charged with resisting arrest and assault on an officer.
