Jefferson City students will have to cope with some changes starting with the next school year. The Board of Education votes to move start times. All elementary school will start their day at 7:45. The city’s two middle schools will begin class at 8:50. And J-C High and the new Capital City High School will start class at 8:40am. District leaders say the staggered start times will allow more flexibility for bus routes and will save on transportation costs.
