Mid – Mo couple charged with child abuse

A Maries County couple accused of child abuse are out of jail. Cheryl Lynn Fales and Charles Fales of St. James are accused of forcing two child to live in a tent outside their home, do manual labor and be forced to eat cold hot dogs. The situation came to law officers’ attention when the children ran away, saying the Fales had threatened to send them to jail for stealing.
