Cole deputies disarm man threatening to kill himself

Cole County deputies use a less – than – lethal shotgun beanbag round to disarm a suicidal man Monday night. They were called to a home on Boise Brule Drive near Henley after a man in a wheelchair was threatening to shoot himself. After attempts to talk him into surrendering, a deputy shot him with the beanbag round. He was taken to University Hospital for a mental health evaluation.
