Police – involved shooting in Pettis County

A Pettis County resident is dead this morning after an officer involved shooting Tuesday night.

According to a Nixle Alert, someone shot at deputies when they responded to a home for a domestic disturbance.

Officers returned fire and the resident was hit and later died.

No information yet on the identity of the resident.
