Missouri Task Force 1 will ride out the worst of Hurricane Laura at the US Armed Forces Center in Houston. Dozens of Boone County-based emergency responders got to the Gulf-area yesterday (wed) morning to help people battling the massive storm. The plan is to mainly focus on water rescues, searches, and evacuations. Several Jefferson City firefighters are team members, including Fire Chief Matt Schofield.
