While Jefferson City’s middle schoolers are learning virtually, Columbia Public Schools students are learning in-person today (mon) for the first time since March. Kids in elementary grades are back four days a week. Masks are required. The district will clean buildings on Wednesdays. The CPS board did not approve middle schoolers and high schoolers returning in-person yet, because of coronavirus concerns. They’ll keep learning online-only. Parents of those kids plan to protest at district buildings today (mon). A Columbia school spokesperson says about three-fourths of elementary students will learn in-person. Most of the others chose online learning the whole semester.
