Woman facing DWI charges after police chase

A woman is in Cole County jail after leading a high-speed chase this weekend. Deputies stopped Dorothy Hernandez Saturday morning after several lane violations. They say she punched the deputy and bit his finger before speeding off. She eventually crashed into a fence near the House of Bargains west of Jefferson City. Hernandez is charged with DWI and third-degree assault.
