High speed police chase in southern Boone County

Ashland police say cars were racing faster than a hundred miles an hour on Highway 63 late Saturday night. Officers say the three drivers all tried to speed away from them. Police say the driver of a Volkswagen passed cars on the shoulder and went the wrong way on the highway at one point. That driver, Ariyan Akins of Jefferson City, finally stopped and was arrested on several charges.
